Sprinklr Completes SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II (SSAE 16) Examination

NEW YORK, April 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sprinklr, the largest independent, end-to-end social relationship platform, announced that it has successfully completed the SOC 1 (SSAE 16) Type II and SOC 2 Type II certifications. Type II examinations analyze the operating effectiveness, security and availability of service provider controls, and offer the highest level of compliance assurance for Sprinklr's customers in the private and public sphere.

Sprinklr empowers large enterprises to manage social experiences across business unit silos. The company serves more than 450 of the world's largest enterprise brands, including Dell, Cisco, Intel, Hearst Digital and Virgin America.

"Sprinklr's certification for both examinations demonstrates our focus on delivering a secure data environment," said Ragy Thomas, CEO and founder, Sprinklr. "This validation is particularly important to our Fortune 5000 clients who require the highest standards of compliance, governance and risk management."

The SSAE 16 Type II certifications enables companies like Sprinklr to perform services for all public and private companies. The Service Auditor's Report issued by Hiestand, Brand, Loughran, P.A., an independent third-party auditing firm, tested Sprinklr's controls for design and operational effectiveness, and confirmed that the stated control objectives were achieved during the testing period.

Murali Swaminathan, COO, Sprinklr said, "The completion of the Type II audit is yet another way that Sprinklr differentiates itself from other enterprise software providers, and it provides our customers with independent validation of our advanced security and high reliability. We understand a commitment to this certification is particularly meaningful for those in highly regulated industries.  Security is important to all Sprinklr customers and the SSAE certifications ensures them that Sprinklr has passed the industry leading examinations. "

SSAE 16 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements 16) is a regulation that controls how service companies report their compliance controls. The SSAE 16 is an auditing standard issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance for service organizations. The report provides these organizations with a uniform method for disclosing independent assessed information about the design and operation of internal controls related to their specific services. Companies that complete SOC examinations are able to demonstrate a substantially higher level of assurance and operational visibility than those companies who do not.
